James Barrett

Executive Director and Founder

James Barrett is a songwriter from Scranton, Pennsylvania and the founder of Good Things Are Happening Festival. James first hit the stage in 2010 when he was just 12 years old and never looked back. Since then James has performed in various bands but always found his way back to his solo career. After releasing two studio albums in 2019 and 2021, James threw an idea out into the world that would change the course of his life forever. A simple "what if we did this" status is what led to the creation of Good Things Are Happening Fest in 2022. Since the start of the festival James has become one of Lackawanna County's arts leaders and has been the recipient of three local project grants. James has been rooting for Scranton all his life and has dedicated the last several years to making it a better place for everyone. With the power of community and kindness, James is reminding us all that good things can happen when we come together and support each other. 

Erin Kosisky

Executive Producer

Erin Kosisky lives by the motto “as a community, for the community.” She is honored to lead with that mentality in helping to bring GTAH fest to life alongside James, Harry, and the whole community. After all, it truly does take a community to make the good things we love what they are. Aside from love, Erin believes that music is one of the most important things we can share in this life. She prides herself on supporting local music, artists, and venues and strives to create a safe, welcoming atmosphere for everyone. She finds joy in the little details that come together to create a truly meaningful experience and believes in the power of community, love, and open minds to create positive growth. She welcomes all high fives that come her way at GTAH V and challenges anyone to beat her step count this Sept 12th.

Harry Eric Rockower

Director of Fundraising and Logistics

Harry Eric Rockower is a newcomer to the Scranton area but is loving NEPA and proud to call it home. He attended the festival for the first time last year after only being in Scranton for a few months and was blown away by the whole day and everything that James and Erin had put together. Harry is very excited to be able to help out this year and can’t wait to make GTAH V the best one yet. Make sure you check out the Fun Things Are Happening area on top of the furnaces and the new merch drops happening this year!
